About This Service

The spine of a home

A staircase is the first thing seen and the most frequently used — a centrepiece that transforms the entire space. MOLTURI staircases are designed as architectural features, not afterthoughts.

We design spiral, floating, wooden, and glass staircases in solid European oak, walnut, and ash, combined with steel, brass, or glass where the design demands it.

Every staircase is structurally engineered and fully assembled in our workshops before delivery — ensuring compliance with UK building regulations and exacting tolerances. Integrated balustrades, handrails, and under-stair storage are all part of the service.

Our team handles the full process: design, 3D visualisation, structural assessment, building control, and installation.

When you walk through the front door, it should stop you in your tracks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about our staircases

What types of bespoke staircases do you build?

+

We design and manufacture helical (spiral), cantilevered open-tread, traditional, and contemporary staircases. Each is engineered from solid hardwoods such as oak, walnut, and ash, combined with steel, brass, or glass where appropriate.

What does a MOLTURI staircase cost?

+

Every staircase is engineered individually, so we don't publish standard pricing. The investment depends on the design — helical, cantilevered, or traditional — the timber species, metalwork, glass elements, and the structural complexity of your home. We provide a detailed quotation after the structural assessment and design consultation. The consultation is free and carries no obligation.

Do your staircases comply with UK building regulations?

+

Yes. Every MOLTURI staircase is structurally engineered and fully assembled in our workshops before delivery to ensure compliance with UK building regulations and exacting tolerances.

How long does a bespoke staircase project take?

+

Bespoke staircases typically take 14–20 weeks from initial consultation to completed installation, given the engineering complexity and the need for full workshop assembly prior to delivery.

Can you add under-stair storage to a bespoke staircase?

+

Yes. We regularly design integrated under-stair storage — from wine rooms and utility cupboards to pull-out drawers and concealed boot rooms. The storage is designed as part of the staircase, not as an afterthought, so it shares the same materials and finish.

Can you replace an existing staircase?

+

Yes. We frequently remove and replace existing staircases as part of renovation projects. This includes structural assessment, building control liaison, removal of the existing staircase, and installation of the new design. Our project manager coordinates the full process.
